Freelance Irish History Researcher

EZxploring tells the unique story of a location through a fun and interactive experience. 

Do you have a passion for local and national Irish history? Are you interested in working with a dynamic team to bring the essence of Ireland’s history to life for families and visitors? Are you a history graduate or a local history and folklore enthusiast?

If you have a proven passion and knowledge of Irish history, heritage and/or folklore and are interested in working remotely on a freelance, project-by-project basis, we would like to hear from you. 

Working from a project and research brief, you will be expected to research a location’s history, culture, folklore and art and to distil that research into a project document. 

You will have the opportunity to work from home in line with your own schedule. However, you will need to commit to some specific days/times in line with project meetings. The successful candidate can expect to work between 12 and 30 hours per month. 

Preferably, the ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and be able to commit long term to EZxploring’s research panel. 

You will also have: 

  • A proven knowledge of Irish history, folklore and heritage.
  • An interest in art and architecture.
  • Experience of completing thorough research (both online and through traditional methods) and applying academic references and footnotes.
  • A proven ability of presenting information clearly and concisely while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Have some experience of presenting written research to stakeholders .
